We design customized training programs. We tailor these programs specifically to your company and industry. The programs provide your learners with skills that increase their performance.
Our approach offers a curriculum that provides you with the building blocks for success. Creating a program from the ground up affords you the opportunity to customize the foundation of the program to your environment, and gives you the flexibility to use the program across your business units. Critical stakeholders review and make changes to the program so that it reflects your evolving marketplace.
The curriculum is based on strategic, behavioral and structural systems of your organization as well as marketplace factors. The unit of analysis is not an individual course or program, but is an integrated system of related efforts where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
There are three distinct benefit areas resulting from a curriculum approach:
- Instructional Benefit: The participants are exposed to learning concepts over a period of time and can work at their own pace. The schedule gives the learners more time to experience and integrate the concepts taught. Participants alternate between training and on-the-job experience. The end result is high retention.
- Business Benefit: A modular curriculum can be easily updated and used in other business units where increasing costs are a challenge. Productivity increases when a just-in-time training technique is utilized.
- Work Culture Benefit: The curriculum builds alignment among the stakeholders of your organization and is your foundation in today's competitive marketplace. You can preserve your work culture as player's change, with the program's flexible modules and implementation process. New team members quickly become part of the work culture.
We begin with a research phase that ensures the curriculum is targeted to your business issues. To do this, we establish a project team consisting of key players from both organizations. On-site research is focused on your environment. One-on-one and one-to-group focus sessions are conducted at your pilot site. The project team can include cross-functional members to reinforce the organization's objectives. This creates synergy.
From the research, modules and case studies are designed to maintain a common theme throughout the training. The deliverable at this stage is a design document of the training program and additional interventions to capture return-on-investment.
During this phase, we develop the components of the program based on the design document. Included are the concept model, customized examples, short exercises and a real-time scenario to integrate the training concepts into the work environment. During this phase, the project team works closely together to include technical aspects of your industry in the program.
This phase is the actual pilot of the material as designed and developed. The materials are piloted with an audience of learners who are educated about their feedback role. After the learners have completed the pilot, there is a debriefing session that captures the pilot results. The debrief looks at content for accuracy, consistency, usefulness and timeliness. The delivery methods are evaluated, checking for their effectiveness within your environment. Program materials are revised as needed.
After the course material has been piloted, it is ready to be introduced to the target population. The program is rolled out using the procedures developed during the pilot or by standard company methods. As courses are added to the program, the learners will have increased opportunity to accelerate their learning and better serve their customers.
